"The average age of the American rancher is 58 years old. I just turned 33 so I guess I got the average down a frogs hair!
Wait... What? Aren't you the MACKS BELT guy?I know you guys are probably VERY confused...
BUT congrats! You're some of the first to know about The Palm Cattle Company.
This is a project I have been working on silently for the last two years.
There are a couple factors that lead to the formation of my direct to consumer beef company and ranch.
One of them being the volatility of belt sales and constantly wondering what I would do when the expenses exceed the sales!
Would I finally have to get a REAL JOB?
The BIG PROBLEM with my belts is that they're built so well they last forever and no matter what I can never compete with Chinese or Amish made prices!
Another was the rising cost of beef in grocery stores. I knew I could beat the inflated price and give people better quality and more options!
I learned a lot of online skills with Macks Belts and I wanted to take the things I learned and the thousands of customer relationships I built and apply them to a product that people consume almost daily...
AMERICAN BEEF
So here's what I've done over the last two years...
I sold everything I had to make this happen...
I borrowed as much as the bank would let me!
I convinced my 8 month pregnant wife to move into a 55 year old cypress home in the middle of nowhere Florida!
I borrowed an old tractor from a friend and bought my first set of cows...
And went to work!
Along the way, I was told...
"You're gonna lose your A**"
"Cattle will never PAY for the land"
"Congrats you're an indentured servant"
"You know there are easier ways to make money, right?"
"YOU CAN'T make it in this industry unless you inherit land"
Well... The worst thing anyone can say to me is "YOU CAN'T"
Now I am a BIG believer that the harder something is the greater the reward, and that if you take care of your customers they will take care of YOU!
SO I WENT ALL IN... and I've been looking forward to posting this write up for quite sometime!
It hasn't ALL been negative. I have been blessed to have great mentors and supporters:
Janet, Martin, Gene, and Gary to name a few
This is my public THANK YOU for mentoring me and encouraging me!
Thousands of people have trusted me to build them the toughest belt on the planet. Now, I hope you give me one more opportunity to provide that same quality around your dinner table!
No I'm not claiming to be a cowboy... I'm a Florida Cattleman and I look forward to earning your business!"
"At The Palm Cattle Company, our mission is to sustainably raise exceptional Florida beef, protect the state’s natural landscapes and ecosystems, and bring premium Fresh from Florida beef to dinner tables across America." - Mack, The Palm Ranch Owner
